Details have been announced for the launch of talkRADIO next month. The new station starts broadcasts on Monday, 21st March with presenters including Julia Hartley-Brewer, Iain Lee and George Galloway.
The station promises it will cover a range of topics from celebrity culture to the big issues in politics. The Breakfast Show will be hosted by Paul Ross with former LBC presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer taking over at 10am. A former Political Editor at the Sunday Express and regular on Question Time, Julia Hartley-Brewer will host the ‘mid-morning’ slot.
Author and broadcaster Sam Delaney will host the Drivetime slot having been a guest presenter on talkSPORT. Radio and television presenter Iain Lee will return to late night radio having previously hosted on Absolute Radio, XFM, LBC and BBC local radio.
Politician and TV presenter George Galloway will host a Friday evening show.
Paul Ross, presenter of talkRADIO’s Breakfast Show, said: “talkRADIO is going to bring something new and fresh to the world of digital radio, and I can’t wait to get into the studio and start talking to our listeners every morning.”
talkRADIO is one of several new stations launching on digital radio over the next few months. It will be joined by talkSPORT 2 and Virgin Radio this Spring.
