Radio station Heart has unveiled a new weekend schedule, with Rochelle Humes hosting a new Saturday afternoon show.
Following a career with The Saturdays, Rochelle Humes has hosted shows including Ninja Warrior UK, The Xtra Factor and Lorraine. Last year Rochelle covered for Emma Willis on the station.
Club Classics on Heart will relaunch with Annaliese Dayes, playing dance anthems every Friday and Saturday night from 7pm.
Lilah Parsons is the new host of Friday and Saturday nights on Heart from 10pm to 1am. Lilah is known for co-presenting the breakfast show on Capital, before which she had a weekly show on MTV.
“I absolutely loved covering shows on Heart last year, so now I’m very excited to have my own show – it’s going to be loads of fun,” said Rochelle Humes.
“I’ll be playing all my favourite feel good tunes every Saturday afternoon, and can’t wait to get started this weekend!”
In other schedule changes Emma Bunton will host a new Sunday night show from 7pm, in addition to co-hosting Heart Breakfast in London with Jamie Theakston. Kevin Hughes will present Saturday afternoons on Heart from 1pm – 4pm.
Heart expanding to North Lancashire and Cumbria
The owners of Heart have also announced that the station will expand across North Lancashire and Cumbria. It follows the acquisition of radio station The Bay last year.
In March, The Bay will become Heart and broadcast from Lancaster. Sister station Lakeland Radio will become Smooth and will be broadcast from Kendal.
Ashley Tabor OBE, founder & executive president of Global, said: “We’ve wanted to introduce Heart and Smooth to more listeners across the North West for some time and so it’s fantastic we’re able to do this in 2018.”
Currently neither The Bay or Lakeland Radio is broadcast on digital radio.
More details will be announced soon.
