Roberts Radio have unveiled the latest addition to their Revival range.
As well as FM/DAB/DAB+ the radio includes Bluetooth for wireless music streaming and a new colour display. Keeping the 1950s styling and wooden cabinet, Roberts say the “Revival looks and sounds better than ever.”
It’s now possible to stream music, podcasts and internet radio stations to the radio with a smartphone or tablet. Using Bluetooth the radio can now double as a wireless speaker, with the RD70’s buttons able to play, pause and skip songs on the smartphone.
With DAB/DAB+ and FM it’s possible to receive new DAB+ stations which are now available across the UK. Up to ten DAB and ten FM presets can be stored for quick selection of stations.
A full colour display on the top of the radio replaces the monochrome text display from the previous Revival radios. Different display themes can be selected with options for clock displays when the radio is in standby. Two alarms can be set while the select knob doubles up as a snooze button. A sleep timer is also available.
Headphones can be connected to the 3.5mm socket on the top of the radio. A line-in socket can also be used to listen to a smartphone or MP3 player where Bluetooth is not available.
Power is provided from the mains or with batteries.
The British manufacturer also offers the Rambler FM/DAB set with the styling of its 1970s namesake.
The Roberts Radio Revival RD70 is available now with a RRP of £199.99. Colours include black, grey, red, cream, duck egg and green.
