Colin Murray will be awarding points for punditry again when he returns to Fighting Talk this week.
He presented his first show in 2006 but left the station in 2013 to join talkSPORT. Colin’s first show is this Saturday from 11am where he will play judge and jury as panellists compete for points on sporting subjects.
Hosting duties were shared between Josh Widdicombe and presenter Georgie Ainslie, who have left the programme to pursue other projects.
Panellists on the programme include sport stars, comedians, presenters and journalists, such as Henning Wehn and 5 live’s Eleanor Oldroyd. Points are awarded for irreverent and funny takes on the latest sporting news and events. Games include Defend The Indefensible and Any Other Business.
Points can also be taken away, which is indicated with one of the show’s array of sound effects.

Commenting on his return to the sports-based panel show, Colin Murray said “It’ll never work…”
Fighting Talk is one of news and sport station’s longest-running programmes, with Colin Murray the longest serving presenter of the show. The first series’ were hosted by Johnny Vaughn and Christian O’Connell.
Jonathan Wall, controller of BBC Radio 5 live, said of the news: “Colin is pretending he is not excited, but trust me, he’s thrilled to be back on Fighting Talk and I’m delighted he’s back too.”
