Motorcycle racing series MotoGP will be covered by talkSPORT 2 for the rest of the 2016 season.
The first live race on talkSPORT 2 was the Austrian round at the Red Bull Ring in Spielburg on Sunday. The next race takes place in the Czech Republic this Sunday, when the station will have full commentary of the Czech MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto 3 races. The MotoGP starts at 1pm with highlights at 5pm. The riders head to Silverstone next month.
Two time MotoGP world champion Mark Márquez leads the current season.
As well as commentary the races will be reviewed and previewed on talkSPORT.
Every MotoGP race in 2017 will also be carried on the new sport station, as well as “a significant number of Moto2 and Moto3 races”.
The television rights switched from the BBC to BT Sport in 2014 after a decade of free to air coverage.
“This is a massive coup for talkSPORT 2 and a continued sign of our commitment to bring the very best live sport to our new and growing audience,” said Mike Bovill, Managing Editor of talkSPORT 2.
“MotoGP has a huge global following and will be a great addition to a schedule that now boasts top-class Premier League and European football, Twenty20 cricket, international golf and tennis and the very best domestic rugby league and union.”
