New Christian music station launches on Easter Sunday

A new radio station which plays Christian music will launch on Easter Sunday. Premier Praise will also feature Bible readings, testimonies and worship.

Premier Praise say their mission is to deliver “uplifting Christian music to the Christians community” and hopes that it will be “accessible to those one the fringes of faith”. The new station will offer popular Christian music 24 hours a day as well as short bible teachings and prayers.

Premier Christian Radio became available on digital radio across the UK in 2009, asking for listeners support with the £650,000 annual transmission costs. The station was at risk of leaving digital radio at the end of 2014 but has since secured a new agreement.

Premier Christian Radio is also moving to the new Sound Digital network of transmitters. The Premier service has been renamed Premier Old and will be removed soon. To receive to both Premier stations listeners will need to retune their radios.

The new station can also be heard online and in Premier’s app. It also joins Premier’s other stations in Radioplayer.
