Digital radio manufacturer Pure has unveiled its latest DAB+ and FM alarm clock radio.
The Siesta S6 follows the design style of Pure’s smaller Pop series of digital radios and the existing Siesta Rise. The company says the edgeless CrystalVue+ display, which shows the time or station information, is easy to read from anywhere in the room.
Pure explains that the new radio offers “smooth sound with impressive audio enhancements” and now comes with Bluetooth v4.0 connectivity. This means that podcasts or internet radio stations on a smartphone or tablet can be heard through the Siesta S6’s 2.5″ speaker.
User-friendly backlit controls on the top of the alarm clock radio are accompanied by a newly designed SnoozeTouch band. Four separate alarm functions are included, as well as a sleep timer and the brand-new ‘Siesta mode’, which can be used to schedule a power nap.
A built-in USB port can be used to charge mobile devices and saves using up bedroom power sockets. A headphone socket provides for personal listening. The company says the materials have been specially selected, including a stainless-steel trim.
Bass and treble controls can be adjusted to fine-tune the listening experience. The radio supports 40 presets for FM and digital stations.
The Pure Siesta S6 is digital tick approved, which means it can receive FM, DAB and newer DAB+ stations. It comes with a three year warranty as standard. It goes on sale in Polar and Graphite at a SRP of £129.99.
The British manufacturer still offers the Siesta Rise and Siesta S2 bedside radios.
